Good grooming

”Hair matters,” Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton told the Yale College graduating class of 2001. ”Your hair will send significant messages to those around you… Pay attention to your hair, because everyone else will.” (Source)

This was of course a joke, but good grooming and cleanliness are very important especially in the medical industry. Patients would not feel comfortable if their dental hygienist has ragged, dirty fingernails; nobody wants a nurse with a runny nose handling their medicine. You’ll have to adhere to strict standards of hygiene and grooming when you start the job, so at the interview it is important to show that you can clean yourself up.
